M. Boyd Jones
Partner
The legal system is unpredictable, a minefield of unknown variables, actions and consequences. It can be difficult, frustrating and stressful for individuals and businesses involved in litigation. One of the most important decisions individuals and businesses face is choosing the right attorney. M. Boyd Jones has spent his career representing individuals and businesses in a variety of matters. Decades ago, he was taught the simple principal that one must look before they leap and consider the costs and benefits of their actions. In his law practice, Mr. Jones puts these principals to work in order to the help the firms’ clients make informed decisions. A cost-benefit analysis provides clients with a systematic approach that not only assesses the strengths and weaknesses of their cases, but provides clients with alternatives that will help them achieve benefits while minimizing risks and losses.
This simple A to B approach in practicing law helps clients determine whether a proposed course of action or decision is sound, verifying whether or not the benefits outweigh the potential costs. Whether the client’s needs are transactional or involve litigation, Mr. Jones believes that it is important to understand risks and potential losses so that informed decisions can be made to achieve client goals and minimize losses.
